Duncan Soutar Standard Drone Reeds OK, so you don't want to bother "Blowing-In" cane drone reeds. These are simple and inexpensive synthetic drone reeds, priced lower than most synthetics, made by Duncan Soutar of St. Andrews. They are tuned by adjusting the clear bridle. Strength is adjusted by bending the reed tongue. Out of the box, they are adjusted for an easy blow, well matched to the Soutar-soft Chanter reed.
