African Blackwood Bagpipe Chanter Chanter 16 a, b, c, d Made in Pakistan This is a very nice African Blackwood Bagpipe Chanter. It is pitched at about A=452. This is lower pitched than most Scottish made Chanters, (A-472) and even lower pitched than most Pakistani Chanters. (A=466) It is only a little above concert pitch. With selected reeding, this Chanter could play at concert pitch(A=440) Although this Chanter is too low pitched for Pipe Band use, Most non-Pipers who listen to an A-B comparison between this and Scottish-standard Chanters, prefer this one.
